Occupational Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at KU Children's Services. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing early intervention supports for children aged birth to 7 years, across NSW and Victoria.

About the Role
  • Provide occupational therapy services to children with additional needs in play-based learning environments
  • Work collaboratively with families and other professionals to support the developmental needs of children
  • Establish and maintain respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Administer and score a range of assessments, and provide feedback to families
  • Contribute to maintaining a child-safe culture and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children in our services and programs
Requirements
  • Australian recognised tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience in supporting the developmental needs of children
  • Experience in administering and scoring a range of assessments
  • Experience in report writing and providing feedback to families
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and oral
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office package and online databases
  • Meticulous time management and organisation skills
  • Current drivers' license and use of a comprehensively insured, registered motor vehicle
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Working with children Check
  • NDIS Worker Check or willing to obtain
  • A Medicare Provider number or willing to obtain
