Geophysicist Role

We are seeking a Geophysicist to work on infrastructure projects across Australia. The successful candidate will be based in our Sydney office with travel required to project locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in working with geophysical surveys, equipment operation, and data analysis.

The ideal candidate will possess strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. They should also have the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Familiarity with geophysical acquisition and processing software is a plus but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and process geophysical surveys including seismic refraction, MASW, electrical resistivity, magnetics, ground penetrating radar, electromagnetics.
  • Perform downhole geophysical logging surveys using various techniques.
  • Process, draft, and report geophysical datasets.
  • Maintain and safely operate geophysical equipment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in geophysics or geology.
  • Numerical, analytical, and observation skills.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Familiarity with geophysical acquisition and processing software (optional).
  • Valid Australian work rights.
