About the Role
This is a casual position within the NSW Department of Communities and Justice, providing support to young people in temporary custody.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and care to young people in temporary custody, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Escort young people to court and/or Youth Justice Centres, gathering information to share with relevant authorities.
- Participate in on-call casual work, providing support as needed.
Essential Requirements
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a visa allowing unlimited work rights in Australia.
- Provisional 2 NSW Driver's licence or higher.
- HLTAID003 First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- NSW Working with Children Check Clearance.
- Availability for 5 days of paid training to prepare for the role.
- National Background Police Check.
- Medical and Fitness Assessment.
- Willingness to work on an on-call basis, including evenings and weekends.
