Job Opportunity:

The primary responsibility of the Speech Language Pathologist is to deliver patient care services, encompassing diagnosis, consultation, assessment, and treatment. In addition, they will participate in departmental/community programs and hospital-wide initiatives associated with professional services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care consistent with established standards and guidelines
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
  • Provide direct patient services, including diagnosis, consultation, assessment, and treatment
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to Occupational Health and Safety Standards

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent required
  • Relevant internship/placement education experience necessary
  • Current registration with the relevant governing body required
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical practice and procedures in speech language
  • Ability to conduct Modified Barium Swallow Studies (asset)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and adhering to established standards
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • General good health and fitness appropriate to the demands of the position
  • French language skills an asset
