Industry Leading Career Opportunity

This is an exceptional career opportunity with an industry leader at the senior management level. As General Manager – Business Development and Commercial, you will represent MMA Offshore and lead the Commercial and Business Development function. You will also drive key performance targets for commercial and business acquisition while contributing to implementing the company's strategy.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have extensive industry experience in at least two of subsea oil and gas, renewables, marine/civil infrastructure, and government/defense. Proven project management and operational experience within a marine environment is desirable. The successful candidate will have advanced commercial acumen, negotiation skills, contract management experience, and the ability to develop a business case and present it to C-suite level management.

Main Responsibilities
  • Be accountable for developing the win strategy for target opportunities and ensuring that key elements of the strategy are in place for the commercial team to take into the tender phase.
  • Work closely with Operations (both Subsea and Vessels) to ensure that proposals are achievable, and that risks and opportunities of projects are identified, acceptable, and managed.
  • Be accountable for converting tender proposals into awards, in accordance with budget expectations.
  • Ensure that appropriate risk identification and mitigation is considered at the tender stage of a project.
  • Engage key support functions required to provide input to tender submissions, negotiations, and award processes.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, Commerce, Management, or another relevant field (or comparative industry experience).
  • Master of Business Administration would be advantageous but not strictly required.
  • Business development and acquisition experience.
  • Advanced commercial acumen.
  • Advanced negotiation skills.
  • Contract management experience.
