About the Role

The Senior Early Childhood Educator will play a vital role in our Education, Prevention, and Early Intervention team, working closely with children and their families to maximize their potential and promote healthy development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing high-quality education and care programs that align with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Building strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication and collaboration.
  • Removing access barriers to quality early years learning by providing transportation services and supporting families in need.
  • Providing high-quality care and education pedagogy and experiences that cater to individual children's needs and promote their overall well-being.
  • Observing, recording, and analyzing children's learning progress to inform program improvements and ensure quality care.
  • Engaging with families and communities to promote cultural awareness and understanding.
Key Responsibilities

The Senior Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for:

  • Meeting individual child and family education and care targets as per our dashboard system.
  • Providing high-quality learning experiences through ongoing adjustments to children's learning activities.
  • Demonstrating positive and warm engagement with children's families to connect the classroom to their home.
  • Removing access barriers and providing opportunities for all children to attend a quality early learning service.
  • Assisting in the delivery and operations of early learning care and education activities.
  • Committing to a high level of quality management through the use of LogiQC quality management systems and MobNet tasks.
  • Cultivating productive working relationships at all levels to support the nurturing of internal and external relationships.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in an early education setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the developmental stages for children 0-5 years of age.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of holistic approaches when working with children in meeting their totality of needs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the 'Early Years Framework' and its implications and requirements in delivering quality care and education services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recording observations, analyzing learning, and planning for new learning opportunities for children.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or an eagerness to learn about the factors contributing to vulnerability and intergenerational trauma of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal skills, including the ability to record observations and document progress of children's learning.
  • A current National Police Check.
  • A current Driver's License.
  • A current CPR and First Aid Certificate.
  • Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety.
  • A Working with Children's Check (Blue Card) or eligibility to apply.
Desirable Qualifications

Transport experience in an early childhood setting is desirable but not mandatory.
