As a leader in the retail industry, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the role of Retail Assistant Manager.

About the Role

Responsibilities
  • Lead by Example: Mentor and inspire your team on a daily basis, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a passion for customer service.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of sales staff, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Sales Growth: Drive sales growth through effective merchandising, promotions, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Store Operations: Ensure the safety and security of the store, team members, and customers, maintaining a clean and organized store environment at all times.
  • Visual Merchandising: Oversee the visual presentation of the store, ensuring it is visually appealing and aligned with our brand standards.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Stay up-to-date on pet care, products, and services, using this knowledge to provide expert advice and recommendations to customers.
  • Talent Acquisition: Recruit, onboard, and induct high-calibre new team members, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a similar store leadership role, with a track record of driving sales growth and developing high-performing teams.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers, team members, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: A solid understanding of business principles, including sales growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, priorities, and deadlines.
