Key Position Summary

Lead a high-performing team in passenger transport operations to deliver vital frontline services and contracts while building strong relationships with stakeholders operators and the local community.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage resources finances and staff performance.
  • Drive collaboration open communication and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee delivery and regulation of passenger transport services including School Transport Assistance Scheme.
  • Manage passenger transport service contracts.
  • Act as regulator ensuring adherence to legislation and standards through education and enforcement.
  • Support emergency response efforts during natural disasters.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with local stakeholders operators and other agencies to promote local transport solutions.
  • Provide expert advice on legislation policy and operational delivery manage complex complaints or compliance issues.
  • Participate in business planning and assist with compliance planning activities.
Leadership Expectations
  • Think strategically aligning team efforts with broader community organisational goals.
  • Build maintain productive relationships across government industry and community.
  • Develop support and empower team members to achieve high-quality results.
  • Demonstrate strong governance sound decision-making and commitment to public service integrity.
Essential Requirements
  • Current C class driver licence.
  • Willingness to travel within Queensland work outside of normal hours during emergencies.
  • Criminal history check prior to appointment.
