The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
This role supports assessment of qualifications held by individuals seeking to register as health practitioners in Australia, including overseas qualified practitioners. This involves providing expert advice and guidance on specific matters, and undertaking projects related to qualifications assessment policy.
About the Role
- You will work autonomously, exercising sound judgement and working independently in a complex environment.
- You will effectively prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines, while managing your workload under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- You will possess advanced research, analytical and conceptual skills as they relate to policy development, including the ability to use relevant technology to find information.
- You will have excellent written communication skills, including experience drafting policy, writing reports and recommendations, and preparing agenda papers.
- A degree in a relevant field such as health policy or research, or equivalent relevant experience is required.
- Demonstrated adaptability, responsiveness, and organisational skills, including time management and prioritisation.
- Advanced problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to exercise judgment and resolve issues independently.
