Food Safety Technician Role

This role focuses on conducting audits, inspections, and electronic reporting to uphold the highest standards of food safety. The technician will work within supermarket environments, ensuring compliance while servicing equipment.

The key responsibilities include conducting quarterly cleaning audits, completing accurate and timely electronic service and audit reports, documenting service activities, inspection findings, and corrective actions. The technician will also communicate food safety improvements, resolve client issues effectively, install and maintain hygiene and dosing equipment, perform preventative maintenance and repair non-functioning equipment, and deliver formal and on-the-job training as per contractual obligations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Flexible and willing to travel with a valid driver's license
  • Experience in equipment service, repair, and installation (chemical hygiene/food industry preferred)
  • Basic technical skills and safe use of tools
  • Background in food safety, sanitation, or pest control (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
