About the Role

The Milk Donor Coordinator is a critical position within Lifeblood, responsible for building and maintaining relationships with breastmilk donors. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise and knowledge of lactation practices to ensure the team can provide the necessary support to donors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with breastmilk donors to ensure their needs are met and they receive the required level of care.
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in lactation practices to ensure donors receive the best possible support.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies to increase donor engagement and retention.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and provide guidance on lactation practices to ensure the highest quality breastmilk is collected.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA and current Annual License Certificate (with no restrictions).
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting breastfeeding women.
  • Phlebotomy skills.
  • Current drivers license – with no restrictions.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical assessments and integrate clinical knowledge into practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional service.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
