About the RoleWe are seeking experienced skilled craftsmen to help with various upcoming residential and commercial projects around Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for general carpentry tasks, including studying drawings and specifications, examining plans, cutting materials to specifications, assembling and cutting wooden materials, and undertaking defect work.
- Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.
- Examine plans and determine necessary procedures and time frames required to complete tasks.
- Cut materials to specifications outlined in plans to erect frameworks and lay foundations.
- Assemble and cut wooden materials to form structures and fittings.
- Undertake defect work to fix existing fittings.
You will also work with plastic laminates, Perspex, and metal, and must have a commitment to quality, strong work ethic, and pride in your work. We require a valid White card, and a Police Check would be beneficial but not mandatory. Own transport is beneficial but not essential, and full PPE and tools are a must.
About the PackageThis is an ongoing role with the view of working across various types of projects as well as various stages. Overtime penalty rates apply, and you will receive weekly pay.
