About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Horticultural Apprentice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and development of our parks and gardens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance of gardens, parks, and other green spaces
  • Participate in the development of new gardens and landscapes
  • Operate a range of horticultural equipment and tools
  • Assist in the implementation of horticultural projects and initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals
Requirements
  • Completion of Year 10 or equivalent
  • Current unrestricted C class national driver's licence
  • Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual tasks
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and keen to learn
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Be a confident communicator
  • Ability to follow instructions and take direction from Team Leader/Supervisor
  • A strong team player
  • Basic knowledge of horticultural tools
  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Computer skills with the ability to operate software programs, tablets and mobile devices
  • Ability to organise own work and apply time management principles
