Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated mental health professional to join our team on a full or part-time basis. As an Independent Psychologist or Mental Health Professional, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and develop your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

  • Provide high-standard therapy and counseling services to clients
  • Work collaboratively with our team to deliver exceptional care

Requirements
  • Relevant qualification (Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Social Worker)
  • Current membership with a professional governing body (AASW or APS)
  • Registration with AHPRA for Psychologists and accreditation as a Mental Health Social Worker for social workers
  • Current Medicare Australia provider status
  • Ability to conduct biopsychosocial assessments using age-appropriate methods and evidence-based reasoning
  • Commitment to excellence in delivering a range of therapeutic approaches
  • Comfort working with complex cases, including trauma and NDIS clients
  • Understanding of clinical responsibilities, including mandatory reporting and risk management
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely case documentation and record keeping
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including problem-solving and time management
  • Competency within your scope of practice, supported by ongoing CPD records
  • Commitment to self-care, personal development, and self-awareness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, respecting diversity and inclusivity
  • Willingness to receive management supervision and direction when required
  • Strong networking and advocacy skills, with knowledge of local referral pathways and services
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to professional ethics, legal, and statutory requirements
  • Hold a valid ABN or registered company status
  • Professional indemnity and public liability insurance required
  • Valid Police Check and Working With Children's Check
  • Valid professional indemnity and public liability insurance certificates
  • Moderate computer skills, including online calendars, emails, and tele-health platforms
Desirable Qualities
  • Training in EMDR, Gottman couples' therapy, solution-focused therapies, DBT
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
  • Experience with couples and/or family counseling
  • Experience with group facilitation
  • Availability to work afternoons, evenings, and/or Saturdays
  • Experience and skill in working with children, adolescents, couples, and/or families
  • Willingness to devote time to promoting services through appropriate channels
