Intensive Care Specialist Trainee

NSW Government is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Specialist Trainee to join our team at South East Regional Hospital. As a key member of our ICU team, you will be responsible for managing patients requiring intensive care, those at risk of clinical deterioration, and pre- and post-intensive care evaluation. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in medical practice in a complex clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage critically ill patients, including those with life-threatening single and multiple organ system failure, and those at risk of clinical deterioration.
- Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of severe medical, surgical, obstetric, and paediatric illness and the conditions that cause them.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to share information and provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Adept ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Adept ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment.
- Commitment to participating in training and development opportunities to further develop skills and knowledge in the area of intensive care medicine.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
What We Offer:
- Opportunities for accreditation of this post late 2025.
- Rural unaccredited trainees will also be eligible to apply for scholarships through HETI to help with attending courses and conferences.
- Fully furnished shared accommodation is usually provided to registrars by the hospital.
