Aviation Operations Excellence Leader

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to oversee daily operations in our Engineering Line Stations located across key maintenance hubs in Queensland.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves aviation and wants to take their career to new heights as a Lead Aviation Operations Manager. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivery management, ensuring we operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Provide critical support to the State Manager for ongoing safety and compliance of the AMO people and operations.
- Foster a superior safety culture, including consultation with the team on safety matters, adherence to safe work practices, and leading investigations.
- Create and maintain a quality-focused culture, ensuring team member compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage daily operational activities, including managing aircraft schedule disruptions and recovery, and participating in daily operation meetings.
- Deliver strong leadership to a team of direct reports, with an emphasis on growth and development, and team member engagement.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience and passion for leading, coaching, and mentoring a team within the aviation industry.
- A desire for continuous improvement and passion for aviation.
- Strength in problem-solving and decision-making, including considering customer, cost, people, and industrial impacts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the CASA regulatory framework (preferred).
