Job Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineering Specialist to join our team.

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned software professional to lead the development and maintenance of our software products and services. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in software engineering, excellent problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Product Development: Analyze, plan, and implement enhancements to our software products and services, ensuring technical designs meet development standards and timelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop comprehensive testing strategies to ensure our software meets customer expectations, and continuously improve software engineering processes.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical advice to management and customers, assist other teams as needed, and engage in technology chapter meetings.
  • Maintenance and Support: Monitor product health and reliability, resolve operational issues, maintain detailed records, and document products and services for clarity.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with industry trends and techniques, contribute to functional and technical specifications, and coach junior engineers to promote knowledge sharing.
Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Tertiary degree in software development or at least 5 years commercial software engineering experience.

Desirable Skills:

  • Commercial experience in developing in Angular and NodeJS (both Typescript).
  • Good working knowledge of web-related technologies and protocols.
  • Understanding of web application security risks and controls.
  • Experience writing unit tests in both Angular and NodeJS.
  • Knowledge of AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and S3.
Personal Attributes
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
  • Ability to articulate a point of view on technologies and technical approaches.
Additional Information

This is a full-time role with no travel requirements. Relocation assistance is not provided.
