Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Gas Transmission Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the development, maintenance, and application of modelling tools and reports necessary for monitoring trends in the supply of, and demand for, covered gases in the east coast gas system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support during abnormal gas operations and emergency events by giving advice and assisting in the identification and implementation of measures to mitigate risk.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procedures, guidelines, training, and emergency exercises related to AEMO's role in monitoring and responding to east coast gas system supply reliability and adequacy risks and threats.
  • Support AEMO's Gas Bulletin Board functions by ensuring industry-reported data is accurate, correctly published, and work with senior staff to resolve any defects.
