Job Description: Mental Health Worker/Peer Support WorkerThis is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As a Mental Health Worker or Peer Support Worker, you will be part of our team that helps people regain independence, connect with their communities, and achieve their goals.
The role involves guiding individuals experiencing mental health challenges to access essential services, developing life skills, and finding their footing in the community. You will also motivate and empower individuals to set and achieve personal goals, building their confidence and independence.
In addition, you will work closely with clients, carers, and care teams to develop personalised plans and achieve lasting outcomes. Your passion and dedication will help bring our vision of a flourishing community for all to life.
Requirements- A Degree or Diploma qualification in Human Services or a minimum Certificate IV in Community Services, Disability, Mental Health or Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work
- National Police Check, DHS Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Experience working with people facing complex psychosocial challenges and ability to motivate and support them in achieving their goals
- Problem-solving, listening, and compassionate guiding skills, with strong professional boundaries and crisis/conflict management
- A competitive salary of $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience
