Job Overview
The APS is seeking a highly skilled Armourer Machinist Specialist to join their team at the Joint Proof and Experimental Unit.
This role involves executing trade-specific tasks such as turning, welding, and fitting, with a focus on manufacturing and repairs. The successful candidate will inspect, service, and repair equipment, ensuring its operational integrity and safety.
As part of this role, you will manage repair and maintenance schedules to align with trials, contribute to the design of platform modifications, and develop competency records.
The ideal candidate must be able to work on an explosive ordnance Test and Evaluation firing range, providing support to various teams in the conduct of maintenance and repair of unique test equipment.
A significant aspect of this role is working within a Quality Management System, complying with Work Health Safety Act and Regulations, and demonstrating flexibility in responding to changing context and shifting priorities.
