Job Description:

The Pearl Cafe is seeking an experienced and compassionate barista to deliver high-quality coffee and food service to residents and their families. This role requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage order preparation, and provide exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the cafe for daily trade, check and replenish stock, take and prepare orders for customers
  • Manage order preparation to minimize wait time, present all items with finesse and in line with instructions from the chef
  • Clean between meals, wipe down tables, clear dirty plates and trays
  • Close down the cafe at end of day, work effectively with residents and colleagues, be polite and accepting of resident input

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated empathy with and commitment to caring for older people
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to demonstrate kindness and empathy across all channels, model behaviors that align with our vision and CREED
