Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in flooding and drainage, including pipelines, drainage systems, pumping stations, water-retaining structures, and treatment facilities to join our team in Adelaide. This role would suit someone looking for a new challenge within a growing team and an interest in developing best practice with the local water industry. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to design and document work to an industry-accepted standard by undertaking hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and calculations.
- Preparing inputs into engineering reports, specifications, and other supporting design documentation.
- Preparing design outputs for the preparation of industry-standard design drawings.
- Mentoring and completing engineering works as required.
- Collaborating with other disciplines to achieve efficient design outcomes.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should have a relevant tertiary qualification in engineering (Civil) or a related discipline, with experience in drainage/flooding design of medium-large scale infrastructure projects. Essential skills include knowledge of ARR, Austroads drainage guidelines, and Australian Standards applicable to drainage infrastructure. Experience with supervising and mentoring junior staff is also highly valued.
