About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Merchandise Planner to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and driving strategic financial plans to maximize sales, profit, and return on investment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement a strategic financial plan that aligns with the company's goals
  • Analyse and present information to management, summarising key strategic initiatives, growths & declines, risks & opportunities
  • Develop a planning strategy, objectives and performance management measures focused on achieving sales targets, gross profit and effective stock turns/GMROI
  • Own financial management of the Business Unit through Budget process management, financial planning and re-plans, profitability including markdowns and promotional activities
Requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Be commercially astute with excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • 5+ years' proven experience in a retail Merchandise Planning role or comparable role
  • High level of excel skills and capability
