About the Opportunity

Cumberland Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Swim Instructor to join our team at our Aquatic Centres. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to our community, in line with Council's policies and procedures and AUSTSWIM industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver swimming lessons to individuals and groups of varying ages and skill levels
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of our diverse community
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our customers
  • Work collaboratively with our team to achieve our goals and objectives
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe aquatic environment
Requirements
  • Current Swim Instructor qualification
  • Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the effective instruction of swimming classes
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong time management and organisational ability
