About Our Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Food Technologist to join our National R&D team based at Lidcombe, reporting to the Research and Development Manager.

As a key member of our team, you will partner with marketing, industrial, quality, and procurement to manage projects from feasibility stage through to launch. This includes developing timelines, designing to a target formulation cost, and monitoring overall PCI impacts to the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear reporting on risks and provide recommendations and solutions for mitigation plans.
  • Develop new products and processes as part of the innovation pipeline for the relevant category.
  • Identify and improve on existing products through renovation projects.
  • Lead the launch of product innovation.

About You:

  • You will have 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Hold a degree in food science/technology, food/chemical engineering, biochemistry, nutrition, microbiology, or chemistry, or a food-related postgraduate qualification.
  • Dairy or FMCG industry experience with new product development (NPD) is desirable.
  • Have strong end-to-end product development and project management experience.
  • Be able to mentor and assist in the development of members of the food technologist team.
