About the Role

As a Machine Operator at CSR, you will play a critical role in our brick manufacturing process. Reporting to the Production Manager, your focus will be on operating a range of fixed and mobile plant in a fast-paced environment to manufacture high-quality bricks. You will be based at our PGH Bricks & Pavers Golden Grove site and be a critical member of the wider team, participating in process improvement activities and safety projects.

Key Responsibilities

Perform quality prestart checklists
Operate various machines to exceed daily, weekly, and monthly production targets
Improve and maintain daily production levels
Follow work instructions and procedures, specific checklists, and accepted best practices
Ensure the highest quality of standards and production
Housekeeping and other duties as required

Requirements

A great work ethic and strong commitment to safe work practices and high regard for safety
Experience as an operator in a production line
Physical fitness, as there is manual handling involved
A high attention to detail
Sound written and verbal communication skills and computer skills
Good mechanical-minded and trouble-shooting ability
Ability to interact well with others and join the team
A current forklift license with experience – ESSENTIAL
