The Role

As a Research Analyst within Jarden's Australian Equities Research team, you will conduct research and analysis on listed banks and smaller non-bank lenders for institutional asset management clients.

You will be responsible for producing comprehensive research reports and strategic insights, interpreting news and market announcements, creating financial models and performing in-depth analysis of key industry drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing high-quality research reports and strategic insights on listed companies
  • Interpreting news and market announcements to form nuanced perspectives on industry trends
  • Creating and refining financial models that underpin research reports and recommendations
  • Performing in-depth analysis of key industry drivers and maintaining a deep understanding of market dynamics
  • Assisting with client requests and providing expert guidance on listed companies and related industries

About You

You will possess a creative mind, a can-do mentality and strong critical thinking skills. You will be able to build strong relationships across the research and sales team as well as with clients.

In addition, you will have:

  • A minimum 2 years prior experience in banking/financial services or related roles in equity research, accounting firms or corporate finance
  • Postgraduate qualifications such as CFA, CA/CPA are a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modelling skills coupled with a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles
  • Expertise in corporate finance valuation methodologies and an understanding of equity market valuation metrics
  • A high degree of attention to detail and well-developed report writing skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Our competitive salary for this role is around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. In return, we offer a great company culture and exciting long-term career prospects.
