About the Role

At Bunnings, we're seeking a highly skilled Victorian State Timber Buyer to join our Buying team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for creating and delivering market-leading timber ranges to our stores, inspiring customers and contributing to the strengthening of our in-store and online offer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end buying process, from supplier to store layout and everything in between.
  • Develop and implement annual business plans outlining product, pricing, and marketing strategies.
  • Negotiate product prices, volumes, and terms with suppliers.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and identify opportunities to drive innovation, lower costs, and deliver value to customers.
  • Lead the development of promotional programs to support buying plans and contribute to the team's growth and development.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of timber buying, ideally with sales or account management experience for a timber supplier.
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of the market and competitive landscape.
  • Proven leadership capability in coaching, mentoring, and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
