Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to oversee medical, psychiatric, substance abuse, and nursing care for individuals served. The ideal candidate will have experience working in behavioral health settings and be knowledgeable about psychiatric medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate services with public and private community health agencies to ensure appropriate services for individuals.
  • Assist individuals with preparation and recording of the service planning process.
  • Conduct assessments and treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and family counseling.
  • Participate in the development of educational curriculum.
  • Supervise and/or provide nursing treatment and monitoring.
  • Respond to crisis calls for assessment and pertinent intervention.
  • Coordinate the relationship with outside medical and nursing support services.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
  • Valid and current state-specific Nursing license.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, common side effects, reactions, and interactions.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Trauma Informed Care experience preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Must be able to pass de-escalation training.
