Job Title: Laboratory Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented laboratory technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting physical tests on coal samples, ensuring accuracy and quality of results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct physical tests on coal samples, including sample preparation, sizing, crushing, dividing, and storage.
  • Transfer validated results into the reporting system.
  • Calibrate and maintain specialized equipment.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A valid driver's license.
  • A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • The ability to organize work, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Comfortable with safe manual handling duties, including repetitive lifting.
  • Competent within a strong safety culture.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Previous coal sampling experience is an advantage but not essential.
