At Canva, we're on a mission to empower everyone in the world to design anything and publish anywhere. We're seeking an exceptional Staff Python Engineer to join our Language Ecosystem team and drive innovation in Python and ML engineering practices.

We're looking for someone with solid expertise in Python development, experience with modern development tools such as Bazel or Nix, containerization, Terraform, and GitOps principles for automation and deployment. Prior experience or a strong willingness to learn about ML concepts and applications is highly valued.

In this role, you'll work alongside Developer Platform product managers and leadership to define strategic priorities and roadmap for ML and Python-related initiatives within the team. You'll also proactively engage with engineers across Developer Platform by seconding into teams and collaborating on high-impact projects to uplift Python and ML expertise.
