Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Practitioner to join our Respiratory Department as a Staff Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical services, including inpatient and outpatient care, bronchoscopy, and lung function reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical services to patients with respiratory conditions, including bronchoscopy and lung function reporting.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to the development of evidence-based best practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Contribute to clinical research and development of new treatments and therapies.
  • Participate in administrative duties and have oversight of discharge summaries and DRG coding.
Requirements
  • Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent.
  • Possess procedural skills to independently perform bronchoscopy and other specialty procedures.
  • Sound clinical knowledge in Respiratory Medicine, demonstrated through successful clinical practice.
  • Substantial experience managing patients with Lung Cancer and Pleural pathology.
  • Demonstrated skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner, including high-level interpersonal and communication skills.
