Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished project engineer to lead our engineering, planning and coordination efforts. The successful candidate will oversee projects from contract award through to delivery and on-site installation.

The role involves:

  • Developing project plans, work scopes and budgets
  • Providing technical guidance to team members regarding design, fabrication, construction and installation of piping systems and infrastructure
  • Compiling technical information and drawings for work packs, including verification of shop detail drawings against client-issue AFCs
  • Creating material requirements with an understanding of material grades and schedules
  • Managing procurement activities and subcontractors within project specifications
  • Project reporting, forecasting and costing
  • Close-out activities, including punch listing, compiling QA records and MDRs

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3 years experience working in a multi-disciplinary project team in the energy sector
  • Able to interpret isometric drawings and P&IDs
  • Knowledge of engineering activities related to offshore projects, from FEED to decommissioning
  • Understanding of fabrication, welding and engineering principles, including Australian and International Standards
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel and Project required, Autocad, Navisworks, Solidworks, Primavera P6 desirable
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and control processes
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering)
