Paediatric Registrar Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Paediatric Registrar to join our team at a major University Teaching Hospital in Tasmania.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients within the hospital, including:

  • Admission and care of patients
  • Liaison with specialist medical staff
  • Attendance at ward rounds
  • Accurate recording of medications and treatments
  • Performance of procedures as required

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. They will also have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, the candidate must possess:

  • Eligibility for general or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Able to work a 24/7 shift-work roster
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the general management of a clinical unit
