Maternity Care Rotation Opportunity

Werribee Mercy is seeking registered midwives for a rotation program that offers flexibility and consistency.

The successful candidate will provide quality patient care, work across various departments, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and high-quality maternity services
  • Work in different areas within Maternity Services, including Antenatal Clinic, Birth Suite/Maternity Assessment Unit, and Postnatal ward/Midwifery at Home
  • Develop skills and experience in various areas of midwifery practice
Qualifications and Skills:
  • At least 18 months experience as an AHPRA Registered Midwife
  • Strong desire to work to full scope of practice
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
Desirable Skills:
  • Clinical skills such as IVC, IDC, ARM, FSE, Cooks balloon
  • Perineal Suturing
  • FSEP level 3
  • Advanced Breastfeeding skills
  • Neonatal discharge examination

This rotational position will assist midwives considering a future position in an MGP or MAPS model of care.
