Transport Operations Manager Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Operations Manager to join our team. This critical role ensures efficient and timely deliveries across our extensive network, overseeing transport planners, managing capacity, and ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily inbound/outbound transport for multiple brands
  • Optimise weekly and daily transport plans and resolve Stock in Transit (SIT) issues
  • Ensure adherence to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation and safety protocols
  • Liaise with Distribution Centres, stores, and carriers to resolve transport issues
  • Track KPIs like on-time delivery and carrier performance, implementing corrective actions
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement strategies to enhance service quality and cost efficiency
  • Lead and mentor the transport planning team, fostering a collaborative environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in transport planning, logistics, or supply chain management
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of driving accountability
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach
  • In-depth knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation and transport safety standards
  • Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS) and data analysis
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
