The Packaging Development Manager role at Kellogg is a pivotal position in driving innovative and sustainable packaging initiatives across our ANZ business. As a local packaging SME, you will lead and drive consumer-winning packaging innovation while ensuring sustainability, quality, efficiency, and cost goals are met.

This role plays a crucial part in our goal of 100% reusable, recyclable, or compostable packaging by 2025. You will work closely with our Manufacturing teams to drive efficiency in process or deliver cost savings that provide a competitive advantage for the business.

A Day in the Life:

  • Develop and implement packaging opportunities to drive and support our innovation agenda
  • Partner with existing suppliers to leverage their knowledge and capabilities and stay abreast of developments in the packaging industry
  • Work with procurement to establish relationships with new packaging suppliers where necessary
  • Provide expertise to guide and influence the sustainability agenda

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Coupled with Food Science/Packaging or material science, you will have a strong track record of success in a similar role in the food packaging industry
  • You will have an innovative and creative approach to problem-solving and new design implementation
  • Working cross-functionally and with external suppliers to achieve great results, you will have well-developed written and verbal communication and influencing skills
  • You will have a passion for delivering sustainable and innovative packaging solutions that engage and inspire others
