The Swan River Crossings project is one of Main Roads Western Australia's most complex and ambitious undertakings. This multi-disciplinary project involves road, port, freight, river, walking, cycling, heritage, and environmental considerations, requiring the expertise of skilled Riggers.
About The Role - Riggers
We are seeking experienced Riggers to join our team at our Perth pre-cast fabrication yard in Hazelmere. As a Rigger, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of objects, equipment, and personnel. Your tasks may include:
- Estimating object sizes and weights to determine the required lifting equipment.
- Erecting cranes, mobile crane booms, and adjusting tower crane heights.
- Lifting, positioning, and bolting components to build scaffolding structures.
- Attaching sling equipment to loads to be lifted.
- Installing and operating cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, and other lifting tackle.
- Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- General yard housekeeping and laboring as needed.
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Essential:
- At least 3 years of demonstrated rigging experience working on civil metro construction projects.
- A current High Risk Work Licence for basic, intermediate, or advanced rigging.
- A current Working at Heights certificate (less than 2 years old).
- Proof of unrestricted Australian Working Rights.
- A valid WA Construction White card and photo ID.
- Demonstrated ability to perform duties with high standards in both safety and quality.
Desirable:
- A recent Verification of Competency for Rigging would be advantageous.
- Additional high-risk tickets, such as LF, WP, or C0, would also be beneficial.
