About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Gardener to join our team at Green by Nature. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the gardens and grounds at one of our prestigious locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of garden maintenance activities, including planting, hedging, weeding, pruning, and fertilising.
  • Develop and implement nutrition and spray programs for gardens and lawns to ensure optimal health and appearance.
  • Collaborate with event and track management to ensure the gardens and grounds are prepared for race days and TV events.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.
  • Regularly inspect garden areas to assess their condition, identify improvements needed, and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Experience in both gardening and sports turf.
  • Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks & Gardens or minimum 5 years' experience.
  • Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
  • White Card.
  • Valid Drivers' license (Manual).
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
