Our organisation is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and improving health outcomes. We offer a comprehensive range of medical services, including cardiothoracic surgery.

The Cardiothoracic Surgery service offers highly specialised procedures, including cardiac and pulmonary transplantation, mechanical circulatory support and pulmonary endarterectomy. We perform over 700 cardiac and 700 thoracic cases annually, serving both metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

We seek an experienced Specialist in Cardiothoracic Surgery with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Legally qualified medical practitioner, registered or registrable with AHPRA without conditions, undertakings or reprimands.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Recent training in Thoracic Organ Transplantation at a recognised centre
  • Commitment to research and/or a planned research project
  • Established expertise in a New Technology area (preferably)
