About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Finance Team Assistant to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers a great chance to contribute to key financial tasks that impact our company's overall performance.

In this position, you will support processes and operations within the Finance Team, managing essential administrative duties and gaining exposure to how an ASX-listed business operates.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent finance graduate looking to start their career or a junior coordinator seeking to expand into eCommerce or an ASX-listed business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborative Work Environment: Work collaboratively with the broader Finance team and internal stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
  • Efficiency Drives: Proactively look for new and better ways of working to ensure efficiency.
  • Data Analysis: Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
  • Problem-Solving: Take initiative in problem-solving and exercising judgement when processing and reviewing data.
  • Accounting Investigation: Investigate anomalies in accounts and record adjustments where required.
  • Currency Operations: Operate in both FX and domestic currencies.
  • Banking Reconciliations: Prepare banking and general ledger reconciliations.
  • SAP Integration: Process invoice details into SAP for payment.
  • Internal Controls: Maintain internal controls and compliance.
  • Administrative Support: Assist leaders within the business with administration duties and tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Education: University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Business or similar).
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience working within Finance / Accounting, preferably in a Retail / eCommerce / FMCG environment. Experience within an ASX listed business will be highly regarded.
  • Communication Skills: Comfortable building and maintaining effective relationships through exceptional communication and engagement.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: An exceptional problem solver, using your strong attention to detail to maintain data entry and reconciliation accuracy.
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable working with a number of different systems, with the ability to perform administrative duties with exceptional attention to detail and efficiency.
  • SAP Knowledge: Experience with SAP will be highly regarded.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Being agile and adaptable is key to success.
  • Microsoft Excel: A whiz with Microsoft Excel (we're talking VLOOKUP and pivot tables, not SUM and AVERAGE - and we will test your capabilities).
  • IT Literacy: Tech savvy and able to use various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including health insurance, superannuation and annual leave.
