We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our team at IPAR in Canberra, ACT.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in the occupational rehabilitation sector, providing holistic support to clients and helping them achieve positive outcomes.
As a Rehabilitation Counsellor, you will be responsible for:
- Providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological;
- Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
- Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical and discipline-specific allied health skills;
- Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to achieve return to work outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling;
- Full Professional Membership with ASORC;
- Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
- Fabulous communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders;
- Compassion and kindness, with a strong focus on empathy and understanding;
- Well-developed time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively;
- A current valid Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
