Job Title

The General Medicine Principle House Officers are responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to patients within the Department of Medicine under the guidance of consultant medical staff.

You will oversee and advise junior medical staff and students attached to the Department of Medicine, providing clinical and administrative support for medical services undertaken in hospital clinical units.

  • Deliver medical care under the supervision of senior medical staff.
  • Accurately document relevant clinical information and patient charts.
  • Ensure timely completion of discharge summaries and correspondence.
  • Conduct interviews, examinations, and identify clinical problems through regular review of patients.
  • Arrange investigations, treatment, and discharge as directed by assigned consultants.
  • Support junior and senior medical staff as required.
  • Participate in case presentations at teaching meetings.
  • Attend clinical meetings within the department.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development and medical education.
