Role Overview

This is a part-time opportunity to join our team at Wesley Hospital as a Medical Receptionist.

  • Manage appointment bookings, rescheduling, and patient communications
  • Liaise with hospital staff, doctors, and clinical teams
  • Check patient GP referrals and Medicare data for accuracy
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally
  • Process billing and receipting for patient accounts, including Medicare and DVA
  • Support the team with efficient use of our Health Track system

The ideal candidate will have experience in administration or customer service, preferably in healthcare or aged care. Strong time management and prioritisation skills are essential.

About the Position

This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient experiences from the moment they walk through the door.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing appointment schedules and communicating with patients
  • Liaising with hospital staff and clinical teams
  • Verifying patient information and Medicare data
  • Providing excellent communication and support to patients
  • Processing patient accounts and billing
