We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting and Finance Business Partner to join our Corporate Services team. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for providing high-level support to the Director-General, Executive Leadership Team, and the department in various areas including audit, finance, procurement, people and culture, information and digital, strategic communication and engagement, and business support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the timely preparation of QFleet's annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards, Queensland Treasury Financial Reporting Requirements, and other prescribed requirements.
  • Conduct the month-end process in accordance with applicable deadlines, including timely end-of-accounting-period journal processing, accruals, high-standard reconciliations with work papers, to produce high-quality monthly financial and management reporting.
  • Support the Finance Manager to meet their responsibilities and deliverables in relation to statutory reporting, financial policy, and financial governance.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with QFleet Business Systems to carry out year-end processes in the BYNX system and ensure data accuracy and integrity of daily financial transactions interfaced between SAP and BYNX systems. You will also contribute to ensuring the integrity of the Department's financial accounting records and systems are maintained in accordance with accounting standards, auditing requirements, legislative, and departmental requirements.
