At Uniting, we are dedicated to providing high-quality care and support services to individuals in need. We are currently seeking a skilled Caregiver and Community Support Specialist to join our team in Tumut & surrounds.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual to work with us as a Caregiver and Community Support Specialist. As part of our Home & Community Care + Residential Care team, you will be responsible for providing a range of services to our valued clients, including:

  • Transport assistance for appointments, shopping trips, and social support activities;
  • Housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation;
  • Personal care, such as showering, dressing, mealtime support, and medication administration;
  • Social support and companionship;
  • Medication management and documentation.

You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and preferences, and develop personalized care plans to ensure they receive the highest level of care and support.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum qualification in Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent;
  • A valid Australian driver's license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle;
  • Previous experience in aged or community care;
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing client needs and schedules;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
