Job Description

This casual role involves providing support to individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet the unique needs of each client
  • Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of client progress and any issues that may arise
Key Responsibilities
  • Providing person-centred care and support to individuals with disabilities
  • Assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Developing and implementing individualised care plans to meet the unique needs of each client
  • Communicating effectively with clients, family members, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Must have Cert III in Disability or above, or equivalent experience
  • A current Working with Children check
  • First Aid/CPR certificates (current)
  • Full and clean Australian driver's license
  • Be punctual, reliable, and flexible
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Empathetic and proactive with a genuine interest to work in this field
  • The ability to self-supervise and to remain calm and composed at times of crisis
