About Your Dream Role

  • We are seeking a seasoned Project Management Officer (PMO) to lead cross-functional activities across a portfolio of projects and programs, fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in Retail, Supply Chain or Financial environments and bring their insights and expertise into this innovative project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compiling investment opportunity information for portfolio review as potential new projects and collaborating with business stakeholders to validate data.
  • Predictively tracking people and skill capacity needs on a forward rolling 3-month basis, working with project managers to identify available capacity and emerging skill shortages.
  • Reviewing project risk management information and collaborating with project managers and business leaders to ensure adequate mitigation plans are in place and acted upon, regularly reporting on the overall risk position and facilitating risk workshops as needed.
  • Implementing light-weight governance to introduce expectations to project managers and improve quality by periodically reviewing appropriate use of artefacts and progress of work.
  • Supporting the PMO coordinator and manager with other duties as needed, including caretaking projects during team members' leave of absence, what-if scenario planning with program planning tools, and updating progress in PM tools on behalf of business stakeholders who are unfamiliar with such tools.

What We're Looking For:

  • Over 1 year's experience as a PMO in a similar industry, or 2-3 years' experience working as a project manager in a PMO-led environment.
  • Industry project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMI, AIPM, CSM, SAFe Agilist, Six Sigma).
  • Natural and confident communicator with excellent relationship building skills, including business stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with MS Project and/or Jira exposure as a user.
  • Goal-oriented, action-focused individual with the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
