Digital Collections Specialist
The preservation, documentation and sharing of collections relating to a state's natural and cultural heritage is crucial for future generations. This involves the organisation and logistics in the registration, curation, and database entry of specimens held in the museum's Collection and Research Centre.
This position plays a key role in coordinating the digitisation process, making collections accessible to a global audience through the development of workflows and collaborative efforts with interdisciplinary teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and training small teams of volunteers and students in the digitisation of specimens, ensuring the accuracy and quality of the digital collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with curators and collections managers in an interdisciplinary science team.
- Develop and lead digitisation projects, creating workflows and processes for multiple collections.
- Supervise and train teams of volunteers and students in digitisation techniques.
