Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Kellyville High School is a co-educational comprehensive school located in north-western Sydney, catering to 870 students.

The Inclusive Education Faculty comprises of 42 students, with 10 identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.

A Middle and Senior School structure supports students and staff in developing a productive learning environment.

Middle School focuses on wellbeing, literacy, numeracy, school culture, and adapting to high school systems.

Senior School students have a focus on wellbeing, academic rigour, school-to-work or tertiary studies, citizenship, and building partnerships with external agencies.

  • We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will have approval to teach and/or experience in teaching students with Autism, intellectual disabilities, challenging behaviours, and mental health concerns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaboration with colleagues, parents, carers, and the wider community.
Key Selection Criteria:
  • Demonstrated ability to implement effective classroom management strategies fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Demonstrated successful classroom management with a flexible approach creating a positive learning environment promoting student wellbeing and authentic relationships.
Requirements:
  • An unconditional full approval to teach is required.
  • Applicants must include details of their Working With Children clearance number.
